Ok. So it’s has almost been a year since our last posting, and yes, I do feel a little bit of guilt. Not because we owe it to people, but because I really like the idea of blogging and I technically sell it for a living.

So here’s a quick recap of what’s new with the Keezers!

Claire’s First Steps

Our ‘lazy baby’ as we loved to call her, took her first steps last week and has since been showing off her moves around the house. Grace has also found great joy in holding Claire’s hand and walking her around which has made for some great pictures. Our baby gates are now both securely installed, and we are a little sad that our Baby Claire is not so much baby anymore.

Daddy’s Donkey Car

Daddy has been quite excited to finally own the car he once had, a Ford Mustang, but this time with a lot less rust. Grace saw the emblem on the front grill and has officially named it Daddy’s Donkey Car, which has unfortunately stuck as it’s official name.

Blazing Hot Church Meetings

Recently we started to have some more of our church’s meeting in our house. It has been a privilege to host, but in a very good way there has been an increase in attendance and we are now up to 35+ people in our living room every other Thursday. Although we blast our air conditioning as much as we can, the end of the meetings typically clock in around 30 degrees Celsius. We officially have the hottest church meeting out there!

Disneyland Adventure

In September, we have planned to go to Los Angeles to visit some wonderful friends, and they have organized us to spend a day at Disneyland with them! The girls are already equipped with mickey-ear hats, and are excited for the adventure!

I am pretty sure that more has happened in the past 10 months since I posted last, but that’s all I can remember for now!

It has been weeks since our new arrival and months since our last post, but we are pleased to announce the addition of Claire Faith to our family!

- Keezers

Our First Christmas as a family was one to remember. Darrell got a Wii with Rockband which now consumes most of his time, Tammy got a milk-crate of new clothes and Grace got to rip paper and play with all of her new toys tags. 

Christmas eve we spent with Tammy’s moms side; Grace was spoiled with gifts once again and had enough of everyones attention to keep her up past her bed time. 

Christmas day we spent with Darrell’s moms side where we had a very nice quiet evening of presents and playing ‘Hide the silverware forks’ right before dessert. James demonstrated his ninja-like skills as he quietly removed all eating utensil options while mom was serving our food. 

Boxing day Darrell braved Best Buy to get Rockband and came back half alive and with most of his clothes. Then we finally had Tammy’s Dads side over to have dinner and, of course, Rock out. Jennifer took to the guitar and drums like a bandit, and afterwards Darrell boxed Tammy’s Dad out of the ring.

During this entire time, we had a few good sized snow falls, and have recently found out that our driveway is an ideal target for ‘Snow Drifts’. This makes Darrell’s shovelling job into a 3 day project depending which way the wind is blowing. Fun.

We are finally all moved into our new place and have some room to play around in. Grace is motoring around the carpeted floors, Darrell spends most of his time in the gigantic shed, and Tammy has been soaking it up in our bathroom tub.

We also now have a new friend living with us, which has been a lot of fun. Kirstie is current a student at UTM and the coolest new person for Grace.

As soon as we are settled, we are thinking of having a house warming party,, sometime in the new year hopefully.

The Keezers

Well, the pile of boxes are getting higher around our house which can only mean one thing; we are getting closer to our moving date. We offically buy / sell our house on Friday November 28th which is quickly approaching.

Nevertheless, we have been having lots of fun, making videos of Grace doing funny things, starting a new business, and enjoying the new fallen snow. We aren’t going to be doing our ‘Open Invite Monday Dinner’ this monday to make sure that everything, except for Grace is in a box.
